We usually cut and sew with precision when making traditional blocks and quilts. In this workshop, we are going to go against the grain and cut and sew these blocks with a lot more fun and freedom. We will then trim those blocks and assemble them into a modern and trendy quilt-top that you can then quilt and bind.  Participants will be given guidance on how to assemble a complimentary pieced backing and how to quilt and machine bind the piece.

Workshop Details

• Choose complimentary fabrics for an attractive and cohesive result.

• Select layout of the quilt.

• Create blocks using improv cutting and sewing method.

• Trim the blocks to fit the layout.

• Sew the blocks together to assemble the quilt-top.

• Discuss how to assemble a complimentary pieced backing and how to quilt and machine bind the piece.

A complete PDF supply list will be provided. You can also purchase a materials kit for an additional fee. Class sizes are limited to ensure one-on-one time. This is an all-levels class. You should be comfortable using a sewing machine.
