ARTIST STATEMENT

Shapes and Colours inspire me. Working with my hands calms me.

I am a artist, designer, sewer and a quilter.  I love working with my hands to create something, that I can touch and feel, something that is beautiful, comforting and functional.

Like many others, I struggle with a lot of inner conflict and tension, and they appear in my designs and quilts

I enjoy teaching what I know and inspiring others to take up a craft and create something.

I have learned the necessity of investing in self care.  On an ideal day, my daily rituals including nourishing my body, mind and soul with healthy organic food, movement and prayer.  I deeply care about people, the earth and everything on it.  I believe everything is connected and I am committed to taking small steps everyday to contribute, respect and preserve our ecosystem.
